Scaling Operations | Scale Buster

The impact-driven Scale Buster is wireline deployed downhole to break up concretions of sand and scale which are resisting removal by other methods.

The Scale Buster is jarred down mechanically in the well.  The unique helically split torque sub applies a short duration torque to the Scale Buster cutter below with each downward jar.  The main torque body comes in 1 ½”, 1 7/8” and 2 ½” sizes and has a number of different shoe sizes which can be easily changed on the main body of the tool as the scale is broken down.  The debris is recovered by subsequent bailer runs.
