Before starting with Versa-Line were you employed within a different industry? If so… please describe

• Before starting with Versa-Line I was operating a Wireline Unit for a Pipeline Inspection company. Prior to that I have worked for other Wireline companies over the years.

How would you describe your co-workers and managers?

• I would describe my co-workers and managers as a great group of guys and girls with a ton of experience from years of work with many of the industry’s leading companies. The company really strives to build a solid diverse team with vast knowledge in many different segments of the market. The management team is very approachable and accessible for any concerns or requests that I have had.

How would you describe the career growth opportunities within the organization?

• I feel that there are definitely career growth opportunities within the company due to the fact that they operate such a vast array of services for their customers. There are E-line, slickline, combo units, swabbing, and
  picker trucks that are utilized for many different types of jobs. I think that the opportunity to expand my knowledge and experience with slickline and swabbing will help me advance in my wireline career. I look forward to training more on the logging software as well as gaining more experience with the slickline tools.

• 2 years and 6 months

Before starting with Versa-Line were you employed within a different industry? If so… please describe

• No, I have been working in the wireline industry for over 34 years. I have worked in Libya, Nigeria and western Canada. I have ran multiple lines and pressure control equipment up to 15 K

How would you describe your co-workers and managers?

• Co-workers – very willing to learn, easy going, with vast experience in the industry. Knowledgeable Manager – very experienced and very approachable. He is always willing to listen and willing to discuss other methods or procedures. Has no problem giving recognition for when things go well.

How would you describe the career growth opportunities within the organization?

• Very satisfying. I started as a senior supervisor and then was promoted to the WC station manager. I feel the opportunities are vast for people who work hard and show dedication. There is a drive here to mentor and give employees the opportunity to advance at their own pace.

• Almost 9 years

Before starting with Versa-Line were you employed within a different industry? If so… please describe

• Before starting with Versa-Line I was a wireline supervisor with another company.

How would you describe your co-workers and managers?

• In my current position I have the opportunity to work closely with all levels of the team. From the new green hires all the way to ownership. I enjoy working for a company that has an open door policy on all levels.

How would you describe the career growth opportunities within the organization?

• My career progression at Versa-Line is as follows…

In 2014, I started at Versa-Line as a cased hole supervisor. In Jan 2018, I moved into the Red Deer Assistant Manager position. May of 2020, I was promoted to the Red Deer Manager position. In Nov 2022 I accepted the roll of Operations General Manager.

• Started at Bonnett’s 5 years ago wirelining

How would you describe your co-workers and managers?

• The managers at Versa-Line are very experienced and supportive. They encourage new ideas and methods of slickline. My co-workers and I have a good relationship and are open to help teach each other our different experiences.

How would you describe the career growth opportunities within the organization?

• There are many ways to grow your career at Versa-Line. Whether you’re interested in the safety side or managing side Versa-Line is willing to move you into different roles to learn the job.
